Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students, and worked part-time to supplement her earnings. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox began her career as musician within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to release her first solo album Diva. This came out in 1992. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now, I'll let You go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. After minor successes as a part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva produced many successful songs like Why, and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs like No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with the release of six studio albums on her own and one compilation.
