Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son of Richard McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began singing and performing at a very young age. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which prompted an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the leading character on the play Wind It Up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twins in the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick said in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having losing her virginity in the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. He was just 19. She was 16. We would've had a couple, she added. But the timing wasn't just right.
